Marshes Light is a small community located in the heart of Manteo and was developed around a deep water canal and the Roanoke Sound. The Benton ll Model home was originally designed and built by C & T Contracting. Upon completion, Renaissance Construction took over the project with the original owner and used their expertise and the owner's selections to customize and create the showcase home it is today. Ceiling crown molding and baseboards was installed around every room. The kitchen cabinets were replaced with high quality white shaker - full height stacked with crown trim. Under mount 36 inch Kohler sink with an insinkerator and a soap dispenser with all hardware and faucets upgraded. A gas line was added for the La Cornue CornuFe 90 Albertine Range and Hood. Other appliances in the kitchen include a Monama Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. The added island pendants, bathroom vanity lights, fixtures, faucets, and chandelier were selected from Fergusons. Bathroom mirrors were replaced. Town Square toilets were selected for all bathrooms and the Town Square pedestal sink for the powder bath. Cabinets were installed in the powder and laundry room. A media center with the same quartz countertop was designed in the great room to accommodate equipment and provide extra storage. Downstairs master ensuite is centered around the fireplace with surround tile. All bedroom closets have customized shelving and rods. The walk in shower is tiled with mosaic accents and a frameless shower glass shield/partial enclosure was used. Upstairs, a work space and separate bar was built with customized cabintry and quartz countertops that take full advantage of this sitting area. Mother Nature only adds to this with her awesome views of the canal, sound and boating this community offers-the top decking enhances this feature. The exterior lighting was upgraded to "Belton" copper LED lights over front door and above upstairs and downstairs back/porch doors. Door hardware is Baldwin "Carnaby" knobs. The downstairs deck is partially screened in and offers a well designed cooler for cold drinks and additional seating on the open deck. A paved brick patio with fire pit is provided for those cooler nights.
